ARH387: 300-500 words (approx. 1 ¼-2 pages)
Part 1 of your paper should identify the theme/topic of your paper, offer brief visual descriptions and analyses of two of the objects you’ve chosen to write about, and include a working bibliography of at least three academic sources you will use in the final paper. Full sentences are expected.
For each object, include the following: artist’s name, if known; title/subject/function, as appropriate; date; size (if known); medium and technique; a description of each object’s decoration, if appropriate;contextual information (historical, religious, etc.); and current location (city name, museum name and location, and accession/inventory number, if known). Use endnotes or footnotes to cite your sources within this section of the paper. Sources must be formatted using Chicago Manual style.
