Assignment: Begin Final Project Step II

The Final Project is a stepwise process, and its goal is to leave you well-prepared by the end of this course to execute on your qualitative research study plan.

This week, you will begin Step II of the Final Project, which is drafting your interview guide. The development and feedback will take place in the Workshop. Based on the feedback you receive this week and next, youll be prepared to incorporate the interview guide into your Final Project.

Feed back from instructor:

{The sample questions you listed somewhat answered my questions on your main discussion post this week, i.e., it seems you will recruit African American men regardless of whether they themselves have been the victim of police brutality. Is that correct?

You stated that your proposed “interview questions are considered personal and embarrassing since no adult male would love to confess that they have been victims of violence due to fear of stigmatization. Men tend feel embarrassed when they become victims of violence and they fear some would term them as weak”. Your male classmates may or many not agree with those statements. 😉

Regardless, these are still assertions that you would need to substantiated with evidence from the scholarly literature. I look forward to seeing how your proposed research study evolves over the next few weeks.
