2. Describe the methods used to find the distances within the solar system to nearby stars, more distant stars within our own galaxy, and variable stars.
3. Describe five characteristics of a star that can be determined from its spectrum.
4. Describe the characteristics of the H-R diagram including the axes and the major stellar groups.
