The research essay will most likely look like a persuasive essay. The essay should contain all elements of a well written introduction (hook, introduction of topic, thesis statement), a minimum of three supporting (body) paragraphs (topic sentences, supporting sentences which include supporting research properly cited, transitions, and concluding sentences), a concluding paragraph that restates the thesis and summarizes the main points of the essay. The essay should contain minimal grammatical errors, correct use of in-text citations, correct works cited page, and the writing should be clear and concise. Obviously, the essay should adhere to MLA formatting guidelines. The essay needs to be a minimum of three pages with at least three sources.
