For this assignment, youll be analyzing events that you yourself have experienced:
1. Take stock of different business activities youve been involved with. Youre involved with such activities frequently if not every day through your transactions with other people as a customer or company employee. Really, the only types of activity not included are pure leisure activities, pure humanitarian work, and pure political activity. If you have a job, please try to draw from your experiences there. 2. Take stock of different ways that technology influences the business activities youve isolated. Today, most circumstances are influenced by technology. Make sure to keep in mind
inappropriate use of technology too (for example, the misuse of smartphones or computers by employees for non-work-related purposes).
3. Decide on three ethical theories from the table above (excluding ethical pluralism) and settle on the three circumstances (or three aspects of a complex circumstance) in which technology influences your responsiveness to ethical reasons. These ways should be illustrated by describing ethical dilemmas like the ones discussed in our discussion forums. Of course, the influences of technology can be positive or negative that is, positively or negatively
influencing our capacity to respond appropriately to ethical reasons (again, see the table above).
