Four Is a Crowd? Lisa lives in a five-bedroom rental house with two other college students, Max and Donnie. Lisas good friend Rita lived in the house for the past two years, but moved out when her lease was up last spring because she was finished with school, except for her student teaching. At the time Rita was hoping to be able to do her student teaching in her home town so she could stay with her parents. Unfortunately, that didnt work out and she had to return to the college town for three months to complete her student teaching. She knew there was room available in the house with Lisa and was willing to pay her share of rent and expenses. She discussed it with Lisa, who thought it was a great idea since they had the room, and the money Rita would pay would help reduce costs for everyone currently in the house. Lisa was very excited about having her good friend around again and thought Max and Donnie would be happy to reduce their expenses, but when she discussed it with them, they wereless than enthusiastic. Donnie in particular, who had just moved into the house, was very much against it saying only that he didnt care for Rita. Lisa was very surprised at Donnies reaction because Donnie had quite a bit of credit card debt and she had thought that he would appreciate the reduced living expenses
