Calm Seas could be organized a number of different ways. As described in previous sections, Calm Seas manufactures and sells ocean kayaks. They produce both composite and plastic ocean kayaks that they sell to retail stores in North America and to distributors around the world.
They also sell directly to outfitting and tour companies, to groups that teach people how to kayak and to educational institutions and sports organizations. Calm Seas must look back to their mission statement and then figure out which structure might allow them to accomplish this best.
