Your supervisor just announced that you and a colleague, Bruce, will have an opportunity to meet with the companys CEO in two hours to deliver a presentation on your teams current project. Due to the short notice, Bruce believes your presentation should be an impromptu speech, delivered without notes or plan. You believe your presentation should be written out word for word and read to the audience.
Under these circumstances, how would you use your relationship building skills to collaborate with Bruce and resolve your differences in opinion? Please select one option below and thoroughly explain why.
Communicate openly and effectively concerning your preference
Involve another colleague for his or her input
Trust Bruce and follow his suggestion
Remember to answer each part of the question with a minimum of one paragraph that is 5-7 sentences with limited grammatical errors. Also, respond to at least one of your peers with one 5-7 sentence paragraph.

Hello professor and class, I would choose to communicate openly and effectively with Bruce. I chose this because I wouldn’t want to put another colleague on the spot to get in the middle of our differences. I also don’t think an impromptu speech would be a good idea for a professional project presented to our CEO. I would explain to Bruce that I wouldn’t want to forget about any part of our project or misrepresent any part. I would be honest and tell him I don’t feel comfortable just winging it. That I need to have it written out and something I can go by. That we worked too hard on this project not to give the presentation our full attentention.I would let him know I understand his viewpoint but I think that writing it out would help us get our point across better. I would allow Bruce to give me his feedback and let his ideas be heard.
