An organization’s decision-making processes, operational procedures, and personnel behavior are all influenced by its culture. The simplest straightforward definition is “The way we do things around here to succeed.” The shared beliefs, conventions, symbols, values, and attitudes that permeate every aspect of the organization are included in this concept in a less obvious manner. These persistent patterns support the organization’s stability, which is a crucial advantage. However, a strong culture can also put up obstacles in the way of achieving the outcomes required to stay competitive. Culture has sway. It has the power to either thwart or advance a project’s or organization’s agenda.

The values and beliefs of the base organization’s culture might limit and impede project leaders who are not culturally aware. They may struggle to comprehend and accommodateacross the organization, there are many standards and behaviors. In contrast, wise project managers are deeply rooted in their own cultures. They are more effective, flexible, adaptable, and capable of connecting with people from different cultural backgrounds. Our goal is to aid project leaders in better comprehending organizational culture, its underlying mechanisms, how it arises, the traits of the primary culture types, and how to recognize, modify, and adapt their own behavior when working with other cultures. Afghanistan

greatest opium producer in the world; poppy cultivation climbed by 57% from 2011 to 2012, going from 115,000 hectares to 180,000 hectares. Israel

Organizational culture can influence management actions, decisions, and opinions. Businesses have a certain way to operate, that applies its culture (Alina & Cerasela, 2018). When it comes to global organizations, culture can be challenging. Culture changes from one country, industry and organization to another. Communication is the biggest impact of culture on management of a global organization. Being global, management needs to be able to understand and know how to communicate with different cultures. Good management of a global organization also knows different methods of how to handle any cultural differences. When it comes to understanding the notions and handling cultural differences, it can be challenging for management (Juneja, 2022). 

The two countries I chose to compare cultural differences is the U.S. and China. There are many differences between these two countries, some include social structure, self, and morals. When it comes to the social structure of China, it is formal and hierarchical, where in the U.S. it is more informal. In the U.S., there are very few lines that are not allowed to be crossed, socially (Graf, 2019). This can cause issues with business relationships if the visiting culture is unaware. China is also a communist country, where the government controls the population, media, etc. China’s society put high value on the morals in their country. The U.S. culture is more relaxed with their morals. China has a collectivist culture where they prioritize team work, family, and group goals before individual needs (Meaney, 2018). The U.S. has an individualism culture. When it comes to negotiating between China and the U.S., there can be some challenges. Communication is one of the most challenging. For example, eye contact in China is considered inappropiate and disrespect, where in the U.S., eye contact is used daily in negotiations. The communication style is also very different. In China, it is more indirect and in the U.S. it is very direct.
