  1. Should the study of international politics be more scientific? 
  • Question: Whether the study of international politics needs to be more scientific or not was a central issue in the Second Debate. Do you think that IR theories should be more scientific, as the most common label Political Science used in American universities indicates? Would it be more desirable for the advancement of the discipline? Suggest your opinion with supporting details. Make sure to refer to at least two readings from Week 4.
  • Assignment:
    • Compare and contrast different perspectives of European and American academia during the Second Debate. Discuss which school of thought is more convincing. (CLO 2)
