Organize your analysis using the headings below, and Include the following components in your analysis of the Stanford Leadership Study: Developing Successful Principals-
INTRODUCTION: Provide an overview of the authors/organization who conducted this research and why they initiated the study. What was their intent in conducting the research and reporting their findings? From where was the data collected? Why is this information timely, relevant, and critical in the field of education today?
KEY FINDINGS: Provide a detailed overview of each of the key findings reported in the study. In addition, for each of the findings, reflect upon your own experiences/opinions, as a teacher, administrator, (or whatever your role may be) relative to each of the reported findings. (There are four key findings. Address each of these in this section of your analysis.)
PERSONAL RESPONSE TO FINDINGS: Based upon your own experiences, explain your own perceptions related to the most significant needs of principals (relative to the findings in the study). Explain. Be specific with examples, and prioritize these needs.
FINAL REFLECTION: Reflect upon the study itself and its impact on your understanding of the role & expectations of today’s educational leaders. In your own experiences, describe the degree to which you have experienced working with or observing principals who did (or did not) possess the qualities and/or skills described in the Stanford Leadership Research.
