Read the following essay from MODEL STUDENT PAPERS (line is on the left <—)
Choose one claim the author makes in this article and write two paragraphs analyzing it. In the first paragraph, describe the type of evidence used and explain how the author uses this evidence to persuade the reader.
In the second, write a claim of your own based on what the author had to say. You can agree or disagree, or do a little of both (maybe the author got it mostly, but not totally, right in your opinion. Think carefully and avoid the logical fallacies like slippery slope, post hoc, ad hominem, etc.
Please make it sound like a learning sophomore in college wrote it.
