The first essay for this course asks students to use the ideas of Judith Lorber in The Social Construction of Gender as a springboard for their discussion.
Be sure to:

Students will write self-reflectively about their intellectual processes as they read Judith Lorbers piece The Social Construction of Gender, and discuss what makes this text complex. They should engage particular questions or problems that arise.
