Please upload your ‘Why Year Up’ letter here. The personal essay allows Year Up DFW staff the opportunity to know you better and learn more about your goals and aspirations.
Your essay should address the following questions and should be formatted as follows: at least half a page typed(can be more), paragraph form, double-spaced, 12 pt. Times New Roman font.
Essay Questions
- Why do you want to join Year Up and why do you believe you are a good candidate for Year Up?
- Tell us a little about yourself or your family What is your story? Explain your personal, educational, and extra-curricular experiences that have led to your interest in Year Up.
- Please explain why you are interested in pursuing further study/education, and how it ties in to your personal and career goals.
- Explain your interest in your track of choice (Business Fundamentals, Help-desk/ Desktop Support, or Software Application Development). Make sure that you research the specifics of the track online.
