Your Assignment

One of your most important jobs as a café manager is to hire servers. In this assignment, you’ll develop a recruiting and selection strategy for your café.

1.     Job DescriptionDevelop a server job description in which you list, using bullet points, the tasks and responsibilities of the job.

2.     RecruitingHow will you recruit job applicants? Be specific. How will these methods help you reach the types of people you are trying to recruit? 

3.     SelectionOnce you’ve attracted a pool of candidates, you must determine which applicants possess the qualifications necessary to be successful on the job. Based on the job description you created, identify the job specifications and selection methods for the server position. Copy and paste the following template for your response and insert additional rows as needed:
