Read the Faulkner Nobel Speech and the Student Analysis Essay on the speech (both located in this week’s module), then answer the following questions:
.What points does the student writer make in their analysis?
.Is the organization of the student essay logical? If not, why?
.Are there additional rhetorical points that you would make if you were the student writer? What are those points and how would you support them with examples from the speech?
.Do you think the speech is effective? Why or why not? Use examples from the speech to support your opinion.
.The student essay was written as a timed, pressure writing and the student was not given prior access to the speech. Do you see any places where the student could have improved their essay (for instance, is the introduction weak, is there a sufficient thesis statement, could the organization be improved, or is the conclusion weak)?
