Group Assignment #1 Due: Final Organizational Behavior (OB) Literature Review Paper (8-16 pp., double-spaced, 10-12 size font).
Use a research paper format in addressing the areas below. For further guidance, refer to the supplemental references provided in class and posted in CCLE on how to write a literature review.
Identify two related OB topics: two key concepts (non-theories), two theories, or one concept & one theory.
Formulate a question & thesis or hypothesis relating to the two topics.
Search for relevant literature in journals, books, & other sources. Document the steps/methodology employed for the literature review.
State why these topics are significant for practice and research, and note the scope/boundaries pertaining to how they will be covered.
Organize three overarching paper sections: introduction, body, & conclusion. Select a writing structure: chronological, thematic, compare & contrast, argumentative, etc. Present information that is relevant, critical, & persuasive. Highlight was is known & unknown.
Prepare a reference section: highlight at least three sources (one must be empirical, research-based), & cite under an APA or ASA format.
Discuss some preliminary patterns, themes, etc. that emerge in going through the first iteration of the OB literature review process.
Incorporate different perspectives, including various definitions, findings, applicability, and methodologies.
Come up with a succinct title that is both descriptive & catchy.
Conclude by recapping the OB topics, the literature review question and thesis or hypothesis, critical insights, and how the review can help others from a practical or research stance. Briefly point out the implications of the topics for at least one occupation/profession and one sociological phenomenon.
