Describe the similarities between the “typical criminal” and the “symbolic assailant.” Do you believe it is effective police practice for officers to identify individuals as threats based on demographic profiles? Do you believe it is fair to engage in such a practice? (Note: There is some crossover in these categories, but the settings in which they apply are distinguishable.)
