You will create a pediatric health promotion presentation geared towards the community. Using a PowerPoint , please report on the following:
Identify and describe 3 relevant pediatric health promotion topics
1. Bullying and mental health 2. Obesity 3. substance use (focus on vaping)
Describe 5 nursing interventions for EACH topic
For each health promotion topic identify 3 local community resources (FL)
Address a special population (children with disabilities, LGBTQ+, minorities, low socioeconomic status, etc.) for EACH of the health promotion topics.
Identify any barriers present to the special population and potential ways to overcome them.
Presentation Guidelines
Design a 15-20 slide PowerPoint presentation (Prezi is acceptable) following the following guidelines:
Include at least 3 journal articles that are not older than 8 years. APA 7 format
Follow the 5/5/5 rule: no more than five words per line of text, five lines of text per slide, or five text-heavy slides in a row
Include a title slide with your name, date, course number & instructor name, and title of presentation
Provide additional information as necessary in notes (for each slide)
Include a reference slide with APA-formatted references
Cite sources appropriately for each slide in which resources are used
Use graphics to enhance the quality of the presentation. A picture, graph, or any visual component is generally acceptable every 2-3 slides; clip art or “fun” art do not qualify
Use an identical font sizes and background for each slide
Background is professional and free of distracting colors or images
