Personal Model of Counseling Paper
For this assignment, you will begin to articulate your personal model of counseling This will evolve as you progress in the program and throughout your career as a professional counselor. As this is a personal reflection paper, the use of the first person is acceptable.
You will address the following:
- Your motivation for pursuing the field of professional counseling.
- How you view the nature of people.
- Which of the theories explored in the first half of the course resonates for you the most, and why.
Assignment Requirements
- Template: Use the Unit 5 Assignment Template [DOCX], linked in the Resources, to complete this assignment.
- References: References are not required, however, if you draw from the sources then cite/reference APA style.
- Length of paper: The body of the paper must be 1–2 pages, not including the title and reference pages.
- Written communication: Develop accurate written communication and thoughts that convey the overall goals of the project and do not detract from the overall message. Your paper should demonstrate graduate-level writing skills.
- Formatting: Use the current APA formatting, including correct in-text citations, proper punctuation, double-spacing throughout, bolding, one-inch margins all around, and no bullets. Refer to the APA Style and Format campus page for more information.
- Font and font size: Times New Roman, 12 point.
