Hi, I need to do my assignment in Criminology class. student will be REQUIRED to identify a specific criminal activity/act in Canada or elsewhere (such as fraud, homicide, (sexual) assault, human trafficking, money laundering, corruption, e-crime, etc.) and deploy one relevant criminological theory to explain why such crime occurs. The applied theory MUST be one of the theories discussed in class or the text. The paper must contain and address the following: [I] Title [II] Introduction–Meaning of the crime and why it constitutes a social problem in Canada or elsewhere. (that is, any recent data/stats about the crime and what are the effects on the country or society where it occurs?), and the objective of the paper. Note that you must indicate the theory of crime you intend to use while you state your purpose [III] What does the law say about the crime? Is any punishment prescribed? [IV] Theoretical application and discussion–What useful theory of crime explains why people commit the identified criminal act? Any weaknesses in the theory, with examples? [VI] Conclusion or implication of the paper. Here I attached the Grading rubric for the assignment and instructions for the assignment .
