Here I would be arguing the United States was tied economically to the allies and this drove the US to war rather than unrestricted submarine warfare. You are graded based on how well you prove your argument.
For you paper you will need to use primary and secondary sources. These are how you prove your argument. Ideally, whenever you make a point you will support it with a primary source (first hand account). Finally, for citations use either MLA, APA, or Chicago style
