I believe that interest groups are mainly a good thing for a democracy in Texas because it helps give the people a voice. Whether the people want to participate to help support the interest group and help make a difference is entirely up to them and a different story, but the option is always there as long as interest groups are still existent. The government is mean to be by the people, for the people, and so, it is crucial that all American citizens take part and participate that way voices from all the US people will be heard and not just the political elitists.
