With the lockdown in place, more people are spending a lot of time at home and in order to kill time and not go out, video games have been being played. Electronic Arts Inc. raised their annual sales outlook betting on the new FIFA 21 and Madden NFL 21 for 2021 to keep people entertained (Bera, 2021). This would be a positive outlook for EA sports because more people will be gaming online rather than going out for entertainment. The business strategy for EA games and the company is to continue to put money into the videogame because sales have hit a record high in the last year. In the United States alone, the record was hit at $56.9 billion (Bera, 2021). The business is also in the works of creating a soft launch of a mobile version. The CFO is expecting this to come out in the next 3-6 months (Bera, 2021). A mobile version of these games will be a great strategy and will be able to increase the market strategy and provide this to more people as well as be used more often since it will be on the mobile phones.
EA sports is doubling down on the sports division by creating an exclusive partnership to develop simulation of college football videogames (Bera, 2021). As the business continues to make new games and expand globally such as the UK, they will boost their growth and sales will be projected to be higher than the previous years.
