Implicit Bias Training and Policing

As U.S. law enforcement departments are accused of racist policing, one of the
most common responses by the people in charge has been to have officers take
implicit bias training.
The training usually consists of a seminar in the psychological theory that
unconscious stereotypes can lead people to make dangerous snap judgments.
Implicit bias training is spreading to departments around the country, with the
hope that it can influence officer behavior on the street.
But its still not clear that these trainings yield the desired results

Assignment:

Make an argument for or against the use of implicit bias training to address
policing practices in the United States.
(1) Describe the different trainings and how it aims to change policing in the
United States.
(2) Include how you would expand or limit the program to better address the
current state of affairs. Be concise and to the point, include evidence to support
your point and do not exceed one page.
(3) Propose alternative programs that may enhance police/community relations.
