- Choose one of the disasters of the Middle Ages. Where you see similarities and/or differences to today’s current events?
- What can we learn from those similarities and differences?
- HELPFUL HINTS: Think about more than just the physical differences and similarities. Go deeper, and explore the part that fear, ignorance (lack of knowledge or education), and confusion played during the Middle Ages and today. Since this is a Humanities class, a focus on how these catastrophes impacted societies and their culture (the arts, religion, and traditions) are an important part of your writing assignment.
