Informative Speech outline + powerpoint

The purpose of this speech is to INFORM or TEACH, which are both different from PERSUADING. The informative speech should be completed in an outline format (i.e., NOT the verbatim text of your speech).

Instructions:

CHOOSING A TOPIC:
Remember that you want to inform or teach your audience of something. For this speech, it is best to choose a topic that you have no strong feelings about, because this will minimize the tendency to want to persuade your audience.

WRITING YOUR OUTLINE:
Use the Speaking Outline provided in the book
You must use 3 acceptable sources for this speech (see syllabus for what constitutes an acceptable source).

CONSTRUCTING A POWERPOINT:
Make a PowerPoint that is simplified for the audience
Speech should be 5 minutes long.
