1. Use your own words to define a risk gradient. 

2. Most of us have experience with many different types of risk. Some of this may be firsthand experience, in other words you have experienced the risk directly yourself. Others may have secondary experience of risk, or being in relationships with others who have experienced risk firsthand. What sorts of risks do you have experience with? 

3. Choose one of the risks you have experience with and discuss how the concept of a risk gradient might help explain this risk.
