Here are the instructions for the first paper:
7 pages, double spaced, Times New Roman Font, Size 12
In these 7 pages you will do the following:
Write about your experiences. What has work been like for you? This can be either before the pandemic or during. What challenges did you have at work?
If you have no work experience, then write about your parents or best friends and their experiences from what they have told you.
And then as you are writing about your work experiences, bring in Marx. Use at least 2 quotes from the Marx readings we covered. How are Marx’s theories on value and estranged labour relevant to your individual work life?
Once you have done that, then bring in 2 newspaper articles about work in nyc or in the US in general to apply Marx to the contemporary moment. What are the newspaper articles saying (they can be from MSNBC, CNN, NY Times, NY Post, Daily News, etc). How is Marx relevan to these articles.
