On the video below, you will see a compilation of different interactions of babies with cats.
Although it is just one video, there are a total of 8 cases (8 different infants/toddlers). Please watch them all as many times as you wish. We’ll call each infant/toddler “cases”
Case 1 – starts at 0:03 mark
Case 2 – starts at 0:33 mark
Case 3 – starts at 1:03 mark
Case 4 – starts at 1:33 mark
Case 5 – starts at 2:03 mark
Case 6 – starts at 2:23 mark
Case 7 – starts at 2:51 mark
Case 8 – starts at 3:03 mark
Using Erikson’s Psychosocial theory and the video lecture content for this module, you will need to pick one case (from video) and explain the following:
1. In 5-7 sentences, explain which case appears to be the most advanced in Erikson’s stages and why.
2. Using the same case you picked for question 1, explain in a separate paragraph (3-5 sentences) what the infant’s behavior reveals about his/her attachment style (you must select one of Ainsworth’s attachment styles and explain your pick).
3. Using the same case you picked for question 1 and 2, explain in a separate paragraph how this infant/toddler’s behavior helps him/her regulate his/her emotions. It can be your opinion but it must be rooted in class content. Be sure to address the physical, cognitive, and social and emotional domains (3-4 sentences for each domain)
