Many influences are responsible for shaping our personalities, and in this discussion you will consider your own thoughts about what are important factors in this process.
To introduce personality, you’ll watch a TED Talk video and discuss your thoughts and ideas in a graded discussion activity. This process should help you think about and explore the meaningfulness of the course content and make connections between the content in the video, the class, and your personal and professional life.

One method personality researchers use in assessing personality is through informant reporting. Such a report would be similar to a researcher asking your friends to describe your personality. What would be revealed about a persons personality through this method? How effective would your friends be? Might other people have a better understanding of our personalities than we do?
