M5: Advocacy Project Checkpoint

Instructions
Consider the changes that you would like to make to the policies you identified in the Advocacy Project Checkpoint last module.

Policy changes come in many forms. Some of the most common include:

Eliminating a current policy
Increasing funding for a current policy
Using a current policy from one place as the basis for policy in another place. (For example, using a state policy as the basis for policy in another state; using a state policy as the basis for a new federal policy.)
Amending a current policy
Changing the ways in which a current policy is implemented
Prepare and record a video, explaining the policy changes you would like to make. The audience for this video is fellow social work students, so think about talking to them as you prepare for the video. In answering this question, be sure to follow the following format:

Briefly summarize the policy you want to change (since your classmates did not see your answers to that assignment). What is the title, level (federal, state, local), and geographic location of the policy? What is the goal of the policy?
What change do you want to see in that policy?
What kind of change is it (using one of the above descriptions where appropriate)?
What benefit do you see to this change?
How would this change specifically help vulnerable or marginalized groups affected by the social problem?
