mapping

TimelineJS is focused on chronological order, while StoryMapJS is focused on spatial representation. In other words, if you want to create a visualization focused on time, then TimelineJS is the tool for you to try this week; however, if you want to put things on a map, then StoryMapJS is the tool to try out!

Like each of the tools before, the goal here is not to produce a “perfect” timeline or map – particularly not with UNSONG of all novels, hah… Instead, the goal is to get you think about visualization and reordering

Here are some ideas for things you can focus on:

A single location across times (like Salt Lake City!)
A character and their travels (like Ana or Dylan)
Two characters and where their adventures intersect
A timeline that compares alternate-history event with real-world event
These are just examples, though: if you want to try something else, go for it!!
