Imagine that you are a curator at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and are planning an exhibition of objects from the AHIS 1 material that all relate to a singular theme. Give your show a title and select three objects that we have covered in class and explain how they relate to the theme. The objects must be from three different cultures. The theme could be anything from function to type of material to subject matter. This part should be 2-3 paragraphs and include the 3 images pasted into your document. Be sure to include the identifying information of each image – title, date, materials, culture. (Worth 50 points)

Then select one of the three objects to be featured on a public banner advertising the show. You’ve probably seen banners  around Los Angeles. How would this object spark interest in the show? Discuss the objects formal qualities and how it would captivate a persons interest if they were driving or walking quickly past the banner. This part should be 1-2 paragraphs (Worth 50 points).

**A few banner ideas from our art history classes will be selected to be printed and hung on actual, physical banners at SMC, demonstrating the creativity and hard work of SMC students.
