Locate two advertisements for automobiles. One must be from the 1950s or 1960s and one from within the last two years. It is recommended that both ads are from the same manufacturer to eliminate the need to account for philosophic differences between companies.
Write a paper (1,250-1,500 words) in which you contrast the two advertisements noting the differences in method and philosophy between them. Include the following in your paper:
1. An identification of the advertisements used. Include links to the ads or electronic copies of the print ads as well as the date of each ad.
2. A discussion of the marketing strategies used in each advertisement. Does the company use mass marking or demographic-specific marketing? How do you know?
3. A discussion of the marketing philosophy inferred from each advertisement.
4. A discussion of the differences in method and philosophy between the two ads.
