: Mitigation and Preparedness System
Mitigation and Preparedness System, must include the following elements:

A description of the community you select: Evergreen, CO; Rehoboth Beach, DE; or Palacios, TX.
A risk assessment (including, but not limited to, demographic data, historical data, structural assessment, topography) of the hazards in the community. Use FEMAs Hazard Profiling Worksheet and hand it in as an addendum to your Final Project. Explain the impacts these hazards had or might have on the community.
A discussion of possible special populations in the community that might be more vulnerable to disasters. Include the process you used to identify any possible special populations. In addition, describe any additional social or cultural factors that may impact disaster response planning in your chosen community.
A detailed description of what mitigation efforts, if any, should be undertaken. Include a discussion of any potential long-term impacts that might arise from those mitigation measures.
A detailed description of your proposed preparedness system, including who is responsible for the system, who the key participants are, an outline of the planning process, and how often the system should be reviewed. Also provide detailed descriptions of the training and exercise program.
