Agency theory, corporate governance, and the role of ethics in financial management are included in chapter 1. Find a recent corporate incident (within the last 5 years) that demonstrates a violation(s) related to one or more of these topics. Provide narrative background on the event; connect the event to one or more of these topics (agency theory, corporate governance, ethics in finance); and discuss how the incident might have been prevented.
Your post should be 3-4 paragraphs in length. Make sure to demonstrate critical thinking and analysis. In order to support your post you must include at least one academic, peer-reviewed journal article from Welder Library eresources. Please refer to the rubric for the grading requirements. Your initial post is due by Thursday. This allows you and your classmates time to read and reply to the posts. For full credit, you are required to reply to a minimum of two classmates.
