- After reading the article on the Supreme Court ruling, please find another recent (last 10 years) article that is relevant to the topic of the separation of church and state. Please include a link to the article in your discussion. There have been so many of these cases, that it should not be hard to find an example. For instance, some towns have sued churches for having religious symbols (like nativity scenes) on public property.
- In your discussion, address the following questions:
- Do these two cases reflect the American ideal of the separation of church and state? Why or why not?
- Do you think the United States is more tolerant of some religions over others? Why or why not?
