Music 2

Introduction:

For this activity, you will use BandLab again. When you start your assignment, please think about what layers you would like in your song.

  • A drumbeat?
  • Guitar riff?
  • Piano chords?
  • Strings?

The possibilities are endless. And the beauty of bandlab is that it will sound great no matter what!

Directions:

Go to www.bandlab.com

  • Select “create” in the upper right corner
  • Select the “browse loops” icon that looks like an infinity symbol
  • Next, select the browse infinity symbol on the right side of the screen
  • From here you can choose instruments and styles. Select any loop listed and drag it to the left side of your screen where your project is. You can extend the length of a loop so that it repeats (loops) over and over throughout the song.
  • Find another loop you like and add it as a new track on your song.
  • Keep adding tracks until you feel your song is complete.
  • Once you are happy with your recording, you may save it. Please save it as .mp3 or .mp4 file
  • When you are ready to submit, please submit the following:
  1. Your .mp3 or .mp4 file
  2. A screenshot of your melody on your device (it doesn’t need to be the whole thing, just one shot.)
