B. Select a food item from your pantry, cupboard, or fridge. Using the nutrition label and critical thinking, identify the organic molecules (macromolecules) that are found in the food. Make sure you include all organic molecules (what organic molecule is always in food but is never on the nutrition label). Describe the monomers that make up each organic molecule. Describe the bonds that hold together these monomers. Describe what will happen to the monomers after you have digested the macromolecules; explain how your cells use those monomers. Write your answer as one or more paragraphs.
