Article Double Standards
This assignment will challenge you to identify double standards across criminal justice media sources. You must find at least two media sources (news articles, television broadcasts, etc.) about a similar crime and examine them for double standards (e.g., race, gender, sexual orientation, or an intersection) within their presentation.
The chosen articles together with a brief bullet-point outline identifying a minimum of three points of comparison where the articles report essentially the same information and a minimum of three points of comparison where the articles report substantially different information. The outline will be reviewed to ensure that the sources are appropriate (e.g., Wikipedia is never appropriate)
The final version of the assignment is an expansion of the outline. In an essay, briefly explain the subject of the article, the area of commonality and the substantive differences in their presentation you should then address the impact reading only one of the two articles might have on the average reader. Will the reader be fully acknowledge about the issues finally
You should propose a solution to how these articles’ subjects should be presented.
The Essay should be no longer than three (3) pages (double spaced) in length, 12-point, Times New Roman, with section headers wherever necessary.
