Health Promotion Presentation
Health Promotion Presentation
Slide 2
Good afternoon, everyone. My name is ………….., and I am a registered nurse within the community. Today, as part of our educational outreach program I plan to present a health issue which is bullying. I will present an efficient health promotion plan to address bullying.
Slide 3
Bullying refers to a condition where some individuals are teased by their fellows or other people for having different physical features, diverse cultural identities, emotional attachment, or distinct social backgrounds. It is a serious health issue that can create multiple problems for adolescents in their remaining life. This dilemma should be treated with an iron hand to make the world a safer place to live in.
Slide 4
Bullying is a serious issue that can affect the lives of individuals badly. In this regard, mental disorders like stress, depression, fits, and psychological traumas are the major health concerns. Other than that, sleep deprivation and stomach problems can also be experienced by the victims. Sometimes, physical bullying can cause injuries to victims, causing blood loss and leading to serious health problems. Bullying can also push people towards unhealthy habits like smoking and drug abuse. It can also force people to run away from their homes and schools owing to the irritating behavior of others. All of these factors create a complex web of crises for individuals where their psychological, physical, emotional, and moral needs are not fulfilled (Armitage, 2021). They lead a life full of sorrows and worries. Bullying is a major community concern as it halts economic prosperity, social mobility, political representation, mental satisfaction, and cultural harmony of the populations. Some strategies should be devised, and effective plans should be made to discourage bullying and ensure public safety.
Slide 5
Health promotion strategies are practical efforts of healthcare units, social workers, governmental and non-governmental organizations to eliminate health issues and guarantee greater public health prosperity. These strategies are formulated by healthcare experts and are propagated through different seminars, workshops, and media platforms. These strategies should be based upon the principles of benefiting large populations, maximizing healthcare facilities, boosting efficiency, creating respect for autonomy, disseminating justice, avoiding malfeasance, and adopting a proportional approach. Bullying is a major community concern as it is affecting the interests of a large number of people. Health promotion strategies for bullying should be made to secure the careers of bullying victims. Some efforts should be taken to improve the psychological conditions of people who have suffered from bullying incidents. Counteracting the incidents of bullying properly can improve social harmony and cultural inter-mingling. It can also improve the living conditions of victims and the population at risk, resultantly boosting their performances in every field of life (Handono et al.,2019).
Slide 6
The health promotion plan for bullying can result in the accomplishment of many healthcare goals. In this regard, the goals of improving accessibility, promoting unity in diversity, creating an enabling environment, and fulfilling the people’s mental, physical, and social needs can be achieved through an effective health promotion plan.
Slide 7
This presentation was given to 400 high school students ages fourteen to eighteen. Afterward, most of the students were able to give four different examples of bullying. The categories of bullying were physical, verbal, and social. A survey was given right after to assess the amount of bullying at the high school. Another survey was given six months after the health plan goals were implemented to compare.

To promote a respectful attitude towards different and distinct populations, some communication strategies should be implemented. In this regard, interactive sessions between people with diverse backgrounds should be convened to create social bonding. Likewise, communication between family, teachers, friends, and victims is an important pillar that can lighten the effects of bullying. It will reduce the communication gap between the individuals, and bullying will not push them towards psychological disorders. In the 21st century, media has become an effective communication tool in all its forms and manifestations. Some public service messages should be given through media to promote intercultural and inter-religious harmony. This attempt can promote a respectful environment for the distinct identities in a community.
In my analysis, I have added some assumptions for the victims of bullying. In this context, I have assumed that bullying mostly happens to young adults. I have assumed that bullying can be in the form of verbal abuse, physical torture, emotional blackmailing, and social isolation. I have also assumed that bullying can result in mental distress, physical harm, social disparities, and financial problems. All of these things are just assumptions, and they reflect uncertainty in my analysis.
Slide 9
Healthy People 2030 have an objective throughout the schools which official school policies promote a safe and healthy school environment (Healthy People, 2022). Healthy People 2030’s objective matches these goals. Interactive sessions, seminars, and workshops align with healthy people’s goals.
Thank you so much for being present in this presentation, and I hope we can all come together to eliminate bullying in our community.
