Nursing leadership concerns critical thinking, action and promotion and happens in all roles and domains of nursing practice. It exists in all domains of nursing (clinic, academic, administration, research and policy) in every environment and at various levels (Melinitos,2015). Leadership can occur in formal and designated positions or in informal roles that take nurses. Since the need for nursing leadership increases, it also makes the importance of education. The bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) is becoming the standard in the nursing profession. The responsibility of the nurse leader must support patients, nurses and the profession. According to the online newspaper of themes in nursing, “this defence can include actions both to ensure adequate assignment of resources and promoting positive work environments”. Promotion skills include problems, communication and collaboration. Leadership requires awareness because the leader must be able to see the surroundings, understand the complexities of different elements and analyze the actions of others and themselves (Lindell, & Huber, 2015). No one wants to follow a leader who has no confidence in her skills, or the vision that is turned off.
As indicated by the American Association of Nurse Assessment Coordination (AANAC), there are five fundamental initiative classes into which attendants will in general fall: Autocratic Leadership, Laissez-faire Leadership, Democratic Leadership, Transformational Leadership, and Servant Leadership. If the leader is sure, not only helps to attract others to work towards the vision, but also generates more confidence within the team. Leadership is based on courage. The ability to create a vision, present it and have people continue. Knowing that if your plan fails, it is likely that the fault will fall to your desk since the leader is not something that most people can endure. Without courage and awareness that everything in life is quite uncertain, a leader cannot create a positive change.
