Analyze and respond to Senator Obama’s speech from March 2008 – when he was running to be President. The reason this speech is chosen is because it relates to “race in America” and it’s legacy. It is an excellent way for students of “race” to learn from because it has a historical context that takes us back and forward in time. READ and write a response to what you think Obama is stating. I would recommend doing a YouTube search and listening to it as well as reading. It’s easy to find: March 18, 2008 – Obama speech on “race”… that’s enough to find it.
Please use any reference style that you’re comfortable with: APA, Chicago, Harvard, MLA etc.) but be consistent. Be sure to put the Speech as a reference on the “reference page.” The assignment is 3 pages (full) and a reference page making it 4 pages.
