Following the guidelines laid out in the syllabus, write a paper that addresses the following questions. You are free to use outside scholarly sources if you wish, but this is optional. You should reference the textbook and slides (and videos!) in your answers. Don’t forget about the many links that have been included in the slides as well–those will help you round out your essay.
Consider both the addictiveness and the societal/governmental responses to nicotine and opioids. How are nicotine and opioids the same? How are they different? Why are/were they tolerated by society and government? In what ways has that level of tolerance changed?
