Throughout human history, people have engaged in what is called othering, or viewing/treating a person or group of people as intrinsically different from and alien to oneself. This viewpoint has been behind countless decisions, actions, behaviors, and changes within societies around the world. Identify a specific type of othering that exists in our current U.S. culture. Write an essay that explains that othering and the possible origins of it, how it is affecting our modern society, and what could/should be done to eliminate or alleviate its influence. This essay must be between 6-8 pages long, in MLA format, with a minimum of 6 outside sources.
