In my experience as a promoter of Inbound Marketing in Mexico, these are some of the reasons why we see that an effort cannot be executed without a solid strategy.

IF YOU DON’T HAVE ANYTHING INTERESTING TO SAY, YOU WON’T MAKE A DIFFERENCE. MANY, MANY PEOPLE MAKE THIS MISTAKE.

Many think that their marketing is the reason why their business is not growing. In reality, it is the company itself that is the problem.

It doesn’t matter how much they invest or what marketing approach they select. If your business doesn’t stand out, or doesn’t satisfy customers, it’s not going to be successful.

If you can’t articulate – in 10 seconds – what makes your business remarkable compared to your competition, you have to go back to the strategy and planning stage at this point.

Don’t work on your website, don’t email anyone, don’t start creating content, and don’t blog. Save all that time and money. Make sure your business is noticeable or it is going to be invisible.

An inbound strategy needs a coherent message and a story woven into all the elements, because it is  excellent at delivering messages and stories and in the way your buyers want that information.

However, if you don’t have a compelling story, your messages are too complicated, or are not about your prospects, there is no type of marketing that is going to help your business reach its revenue goals.

Creating compelling messages is a talent. So those messages need to be woven into your marketing program.
