When writing your summary (in paragraph form), you must first do the following:
State the research question and explain what the author found was interesting.
State the hypotheses tested.
Identify the main study/ studies related to the research the article is pursuing. Describe what they found important in those studies.
Briefly describe the methods (the economic theory tested, the procedure, the data sources, the independent and dependent variables, and techniques used to analyze the data (OLS, probit, GLS, etc.).
Describe the results. Were they significant? Are they similar or different to the results of other authors?
Explain the key implications of the results. Describe how the author stated the importance of the findings and how the results relate back to the hypothesis.I also need a web link to the article you are using, pasted at the top of the 1stpage of your summary. I need this to check the accuracy of your summary.I expect each summary to be approximately 2-3 pages in length.
It should be typewritten, (regular margins, 12 pt. font, double spaced) uploaded and submitted at the beginning of the class. Edit your work as your grade will also depend on writing style and grammar. Make sure your citations are consistent with basic APA formatting.Homework with citations not in APA format will get a 5-point deduction.
