Presentation Outline

Power Slap is a relatively new and intense combat sport where competitors take turns slapping each other with an open hand, aiming to knock out their opponent or score more points based on their slaps’ effectiveness. Each participant stands stationary and receives the slap without dodging or blocking, making it a unique test of both striking power and resilience.Power Slap gained widespread attention around 2022, with the launch of the Power Slap League, a promotion founded by Dana White, the UFC president, and Frank Lamicella. The league aimed to standardize rules and add structure to a sport that had initially gained a viral following on social media, primarily through videos that showcased extreme knockouts and tough competitors. The sport appeals to audiences for its simplicity, raw intensity, and the spectacle of pure physical endurance. Power Slap matches follow a structured set of rules to ensure fairness and safety, although the sport is still evolving. Here are some basic rules:Rounds: Matches typically consist of three to five rounds, with each round featuring a single slap from each participant.Scoring: Points are awarded based on the effectiveness, technique, and impact of the slap. Judges score rounds similarly to boxing, focusing on accuracy, power, and damage caused.Defensive Positioning: The slapped participant must remain stationary and follow rules for hand and head positioning to minimize the risk of serious injury.

Here’s a rough outline or guideline of what I expect your final paper to have.  Consider it also a guide to what your presentation should include (not necessarily in this order). 1. Research Question and Motivation (What is the paper looking to achieve, what motivated you or the authors to do this research)2. Research Relevance  (Why is this research important? How are the results helping? Who should be interested in them? Fans? Teams? Players?)3. Dataset (what is/are the dataset(s), if any, used by you or the author(s)? How many observations?)4. Method of Analysis if any (econometric method of analysis -> OLS? Machine Learning? Poisson Distribution Regression? Or are you doing a Literature Review or an Opinion piece?)5. Results (the results found)6. Conclusion 7. Bibliography
