  • Why are you in school?

I am school currently because I am looking to help those in need with their struggles with addiction/recovery. I lost my little sister to an addiction related health issue and I know she would want me to help those who struggled like she did.

  • What are your strengths?

I am very outgoing individual who can have a discussion with anyone. I’m very adaptable to each situation or personality I encounter.

  • How do you learn best?

For me, I learn best when being thrown into the fire. I find it easier that way.

  • What are your skills?

I’m a great problem solver, analytical, customer service professional, and great at running businesses.

  • What skills do you want to improve upon or learn?

I would love to improve my emotional intelligence as a whole.

  • What are your interests and hobbies?

I love to create different food items via baking and cooking. I also enjoy the outdoors during the Summer. Fishing, hiking, kayaking, etc…

  • What problems would you like to address in the world?

Addiction. I want to take on the factors that drive it. I want to rid the world of those who push the things that addict people for profit.

  • Where do you envision yourself in five years?

Having my own practice helping those in need of help with their addiction. Hopefully on my way to being well renowned.

  • Which of the programmatic course themes is most relevant to your career or goals for personal growth?
    • Self-care
    • Social justice
    • Emotional intelligence
    • Career connections
    • Ethics

I believe emotional intelligence is the most relevant to my career. In order to help others I must first be able to control my emotions, show them properly, and help others with theirs. If I’m not emotionally intelligent I cannot help anyone.

Remember to respond to two peers while being respectful of and sensitive to their viewpoints. Consider advancing the discussion in the following ways:

  • Engage in conversation with your peers around their bios. Consider asking a question or sharing similarities about yourself.
  • Discuss with peers how EI will play a part in your actualization of goals and self.
